LENTO / THE DETAILS

Privacy policy

What Lento keeps, what it shares, and the choices you have. This policy covers the Lento iPhone app and getlento.app.

Effective 7 October 2026

Help & supportPrivacy policyTerms of use

Your Screen Time information stays on your iPhone. No account, no ads, and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites. Subscription services and optional usage analytics are explained below.

Who we are

Studio Next Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 12945543. Registered office: 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, England, W1W 7LT. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can contact us at mertnesvat@gmail.com.

Screen Time stays on your iPhone

Lento uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks: Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity. When you choose apps or websites, Apple provides opaque tokens rather than readable identities. Lento does not send these tokens, the names of your selected apps or websites, or your Screen Time activity to us.

Information stored on your device

Lento stores your first name, guard selections, nicknames, daily budgets, session and breath lengths, your screen time estimate, and detailed app-specific activity history on your iPhone. In versions with Insights and Challenges, those features are calculated on your device, including streaks, challenge progress and badges.

We do not receive these local records. Deleting Lento removes its local data. When Lento next updates its history, it removes completed session records older than 60 days and daily tallies older than 400 days.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

Apple handles payments. We never receive your card details. Lento uses RevenueCat, Inc. to check and manage access to Lento Pro, including when the app opens before a purchase is made.

RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier (shown as your Support ID in Profile), Apple’s identifier for vendor, purchase and renewal information, and technical details such as device model, app and iOS versions, language, country and currency. This lets us provide Pro access, restore purchases and understand subscription revenue.

Read RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Optional usage analytics

We use PostHog, Inc. to understand how Lento is used and improve it. Usage analytics are enabled by default. You can turn them off at any time in Profile under Share anonymous usage data.

Events are linked to a generated installation identifier and your Support ID, rather than your name or email. This is pseudonymous information: it can distinguish one installation from another. Events can include:

  • Onboarding, permission choices and completed breathing sessions.
  • Subscription screens, purchases and restores.
  • Adding, editing or removing a guard, and the kind of item it guards.
  • Starting a session, its length and whether it was over budget, or ending it early.
  • In versions with Insights and Challenges, the selected reporting period and challenge type, progress or completion.
  • Technical information such as app and iOS versions, device model, language and time zone.

Events do not include your entered name, guard nicknames, the identities of the apps or websites you select, or your Screen Time data. Lento disables screen recording, session replay, automatic screen and tap capture, and automatic crash reporting. It also disables PostHog’s location lookup from IP addresses.

Turning analytics off stops new usage events. It does not automatically delete events already collected; previously queued events may still be sent. For a deletion request, email us with your Support ID. See PostHog’s privacy policy.

Notifications

Lento’s reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. Their content does not pass through our servers.

This website

Cloudflare delivers and protects getlento.app. To provide and secure the site, Cloudflare processes network and request information, which may include your IP address, requested URL, request time, and browser or device details. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We do not add advertising cookies, marketing trackers, visitor analytics scripts, account forms or a mailing list to this website. Fonts and visual assets are served with the site. Cloudflare may process security information or use necessary security cookies as part of protecting its services.

The interactive breathing demo runs in your browser. We do not store or send your interactions with it. If you follow an App Store or other external link, that service’s own privacy policy applies.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to reply, investigate issues and handle privacy or subscription requests. Please include only what we need to help you. Your Support ID is useful for finding subscription and analytics records.

Why we use information

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing purchase records needed to provide Lento Pro and support your subscription.
  • Legitimate interests: improving Lento through optional usage analytics, responding to support requests, and delivering and protecting this website. You can object to analytics at any time by turning them off in Profile.
  • Legal obligations: keeping records that tax or accounting laws require.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

How long information is kept

Purchase records are kept while you have a subscription and afterwards as required for tax and accounting purposes. Analytics events are kept for no longer than 24 months. Support correspondence is kept as needed to deal with your request and any related legal obligations. Local app records follow the device retention described above. Cloudflare’s handling of network information is described in its privacy policy.

International transfers

Service providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States or European Union. Where data leaves the UK, the safeguards required by UK data protection law apply, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information, or object to its processing. Email mertnesvat@gmail.com. For app records, include the Support ID from Lento’s Profile so we can locate them.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

Lento is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date above when this policy changes. For significant app privacy changes, we will also tell you in the app.
